			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As I was searching for easy workarounds in the internet for <a href="http://simplyblackandwhite.net/2008/12/25/using-disqus-for-tumblr-comments/">Tumblr Comments</a> (obviously, Tumblr does not have the comment feature enabled automatically on their themes), I found some sites saying that they have used <a href="http://disqus.com"><strong>Disqus</strong></a> and have so far loved using it.</p>
<p>So I gave it a try and in less than 3 minutes I was good to go! My friends can now add comments on my ever-so-mushy-dedicated-to-my-girlfriend <strong>Tumblr Blog</strong>. The instructions on how to put <strong>Disqus</strong> is really very straightforward and they have the instructions on their site. For the sake of everybody, I&#8217;m going to put the steps below:</p>
<p>1. Login to your Disqus account (If you don&#8217;t have one, obviously you need to signup for one)</p>
<p>2. If you just started the account, you will be asked what platform you are using, in this case select Tumblr.</p>
<p>3. Now, Log into your Tumblr account to edit your theme and select <strong>Custom HTML.</strong></p>
<p>4. Paste the following code so that it is right before <code> </code></p>
<p>{/block:Posts}. This adds a comment counter/permalink.<br />
<pre><pre>
&lt;p style=&quot;font-size: 10px; text-align: left&quot;&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;{Permalink}#disqus_thread&quot;&gt;Comments (View)&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
</pre></pre><br />
Look carefully: <code>{/block:Posts}</code> is not the same as <code>{block:Posts}</code>.</p>
<p>5. Then, paste the below <a href="http://simplyblackandwhite.net/2008/12/25/using-disqus-for-tumblr-comments/"><strong>Disqus Code for Tumblr</strong></a> somewhere after <strong><code>{/block:Posts}</code></strong><br />
<pre><pre>{block:Permalink}&lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&gt;var disqus_url = &quot;{Permalink}&quot;;

var disqus_title =&quot;{block:PostTitle}{PostTitle}{/block:PostTitle}&quot;;&lt;/script&gt;

&lt;div id=&quot;disqus_thread&quot;&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;script src=&quot;http://disqus.com/forums/xxxxx/embed.js&quot; type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&gt;&lt;/script&gt;

&lt;a href=&quot;http://disqus.com&quot; class=&quot;dsq-brlink&quot;&gt;blog comments powered by &lt;span class=&quot;logo-disqus&quot;&gt;Disqus&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;

{/block:Permalink}

&lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;&gt;

//&lt;![CDATA[

(function() {

 &nbsp;&nbsp;var links = document.getElementsByTagName(\\\\\&#039;a\\\\\&#039;);

 &nbsp;&nbsp;var query = \\\\\&#039;?\\\\\&#039;;

 &nbsp;&nbsp;for(var i = 0; i &lt; links.length; i++) {

 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;if(links[i].href.indexOf(\\\\\&#039;#disqus_thread\\\\\&#039;) &gt;= 0) {

 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;query += \\\\\&#039;url\\\\\&#039; + i + \\\\\&#039;=\\\\\&#039; + encodeURIComponent(links[i].href) + \\\\\&#039;&amp;\\\\\&#039;;

 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;}

 &nbsp;&nbsp;}

 &nbsp;&nbsp;document.write(\\\\\&#039;&lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot;

src=&quot;http://disqus.com/forums/xxxxx/get_num_replies.js\\\\\&#039; + query + \\\\\&#039;&quot;&gt;&lt;/\\\\\&#039; + \\\\\&#039;script&gt;\\\\\&#039;);

 })();

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p align="justify">I just started a <a href="http://simplyblackandwhite.net/2008/12/25/starting-to-use-tumblr-and-loving-it/">new test blog on <strong>Tumblr</strong></a> and it sure is pretty nice. I have so long loved <strong>Wordpress </strong>because of its ease of use compared to Blogger and Movable Type but when I tried to use Tumblr, it sure is pretty easy to use too.</p>
<p align="justify">I don&#8217;t know if I am making sense in <a href="http://simplyblackandwhite.net/2008/12/25/starting-to-use-tumblr-and-loving-it/">comparing Wordpress and Tumbl</a>r or if there is even a need to compare, but <a href="http://simplyblackandwhite.net/2008/12/25/starting-to-use-tumblr-and-loving-it/">TUMBLR IS EASIER to use than Wordpress</a>. The only problem I&#8217;m currently encountering with Tumblr is it&#8217;s lack for autosupport on &#8220;Commenting&#8221; and I guess I am not the only person who has the same problem. Anyways, I will still use Wordpress and will continue to use Wordpress (I love Wordpress) while I&#8217;m going to have another blog (it&#8217;s actually a personal &#8220;love life&#8221; blog for me and my girlfriend) using Tumblr. I will try to test Tumblr more and will write more about it or maybe build a theme for it. ^_^</p>
<p align="justify">All is well.</p>
<p align="justify">**Transferring to new webhosting space by next week .</p>
